How do I create an account?
Click on the 'Sign up' button at the top of your screen & follow the instructions.
How do I edit my profile information?
Log into your account & click on 'profile settings' under your profile picture to update your profile settings
Can I change my username?
You can change your 'display name' by accessing your profile settings under your profile picture when logged in
I forgot my password, how can I reset it?
To reset your password, simply click on 'reset password' & enter the email address to receive a link to reset it
Finding & Joining Games
How do I find games near me?
You can find games by clicking 'browse listings' at the top of any pages or on the homepage
What is a “looking for a sub” event?
This event type is for players seeking a substitute to fill a spot when someone on their league team cannot attend.
How do I sign up for a game?
Players can sign up by selecting a game from the list and following the registration prompts. Please note that you will have to log in/sign up to register for a game
Can I join a game after it has already started?
This varies by organizer. Please contact the organizer directly for availability.
What if I need to leave a game early?
Every game is different & participation may be required throughout the game for the best experience for all players. Please give your organizer a heads up before the game begins, if you plan on leaving early.
Payments & Refunds
How do I pay for a game?
Some organizers may decide to charge a small fee to help recoup the costs of organizing the game. If a fee is required, the price will be indicated on the event page. Please follow the instructions on the screen to make your payment & secure your spot.
What payment methods are accepted?
Most credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Discover) are accepted, along with ACH. Players can also use Apple Pay & Google Pay to make reservations.
Can I get a refund if I can't make it to a game?
Players who don't attend a game will automatically forfeit any fee paid, if applicable. You can request a refund by canceling your reservation up to 1hr before a game. Beyond that, you will have to contact your organizer for an exception.
What happens if a game is canceled?
All players will be notified via email is a game is cancelled. Any fees charged will be automatically refunded. Please allow 4-5 business days for the refund to be reflected in your account.
What is a platform fee?
TamsTams is free to use for everyone. However, a 10% platform fee is charged to players per reservation for paid games & allow us to keep enhancing the website.

You can contact the organizer by messaging them directly at the bottom of the event page
Can I create a group or team on TamsTams?
Although groups are not yet available, any user can join or create games on TamsTams
Are there any rules or guidelines I need to follow?
Generally, remember that you are there to have fun & treat others as you would like to be treated. Each organizer may have their own rules, but you can find our general terms & conditons at the bottom of the page.

Creating & Managing Events
How do I create a new event?
You will need to log in or create a new account. Once logged in, click on 'Set up a game' at the top of your screen & fill out the info.
What's the difference between a 'Pick Up' and 'Looking for a Sub' event?
'Pick Up' or scrimmage is any casual game set up for recreation purpose that allows players to play with each others in a friendly environment. 'Looking for a Sub' is for players seeking a substitute to fill a spot on their league team when a teammate cannot attend.
Can I edit my event after it's been created?
Yes, you can edit details of your event before & even during the event. Simply go to the your profile under your 'profile picture' & click on 'Your games.' Scroll to the desired listing & click on 'edit game'
How do I cancel my event?
To cancel a game, simply go to the your profile under your 'profile picture' & click on 'Your games.' Scroll to the desired listing & click on 'cancel game' If any payments were required for this game, refunds will be automatically issued to participants.
Payments & Fees
Are there any fees for organizing games?
TamsTams charges a 12% per player to every payment processed.
How much does TamsTams charge for paid events?
Once your paid event has concluded, you will receive the fees paid by the player minus 12% fee per player. This fee helps cover credit card & associated costs it may take to process payments.
When do I receive my payout for a paid event?
Payout may vary based on your institution, but you can expect your fees to be paid within 5-10 business days.

Can I take payments outside of the platform?
We ask that organizers selling event registrations on TamsTams not sell more than 20% of tickets off platform (cash, Venmo, CashApp, etc..). This is to ensure access to the game for players with limited (to no access) to the banking system. However, we rely on commissions to maintain & eveolve the platform.

What if a player doesn't show up for a paid event?
Players who don't attend a game will automatically forfeit any fee paid, if applicable. As an organizer, you can review absences on a case by case basis & decide if you want to issue a refund due to extenuating circumstances.

Can I require players to sign a waiver?
While we don't currently offer the ability to sign a waiver for specific events, every organizers can add additional terms & conditions to attending their event.
What are the best practices for organizing a successful event?
-Be on time -Be fair to all participants -Be consistent -Show empathy -Make it fun
How do I handle disputes or issues between players?
Resolving conflicts is up each organizers. We recommend being consistent in the rules & apply them equally to all participants. TamsTams reserves the right to ban or exclude any participants found to have cause harm (physical or mental) to other players.
